Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda -Wednesday, 4th September, 2024……… Parents and guardians may be aware that industrial action was initiated on Wednesday by teachers within the public school system.
The Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries and its stakeholders, remain committed to resolving the outstanding issues and the situation can be normalised by Thursday morning.
Given the progress made, the Ministry believes that the conditions for ending the industrial action have been satisfied. Therefore, parents and guardians are advised that students should report to school as normal on Thursday morning.
The Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries apologises for any inconvenience the disruption may have caused.
